Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

Seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be developing mechatronic systems to improve aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions addressing technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for component selection.
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Oversee prototype and production delivery, including hardware and software aspects.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a successful track record.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design and integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with good organizational and communication skills.
