Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical and engineering challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate and select components and technologies from external suppliers.
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure system functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with automotive, motorsports, and aerodynamics testing.
  • Familiarity with system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of control systems and theory.
