Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
  • Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
  • Work with external suppliers to evaluate and select components.
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure system functionality and reliability.
  • Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
