Job Description:

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role: We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems that enhance productivity and capabilities in aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
  • Develop system architectures and specifications meeting or exceeding requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to evaluate and select components.
  • Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging for functionality and performance.
  • Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, demonstrating organization and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with automotive, motorsports, and aerodynamics testing.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of control systems and theory.
