Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, with reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing state-of-the-art solutions to tackle challenging technical obstacles, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems (e.g., on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, third-party vendors).
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring processes.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data processing workflows for speed and reliability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, processing, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing management systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security practices.
  • Experience with HPC architecture.

  • Skilled in developing Live Streaming data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with aerodynamic testing and best practices.
