Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

This role is onsite, based in Concord, NC, and involves collaborating across teams to translate business needs into data solutions, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring system performance. You will also prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Integrate data from various platforms and systems.
  • Ensure data quality through validation and monitoring.
  • Optimize data processing workflows for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems management tools like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security.
  • Experience with HPC architecture and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience developing live streaming data pipelines.
