Job summary

A Formula One Team in motorsport valley is seeking a Quality Inspector on a contract to support the Composite Materials QC function. You will inspect composite components at staged and final points, sign off parts and ensure adherence to drawings and specifications.

You will operate the DCS machine, record results, maintain inspection records, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within composite manufacturing or similar engineering environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols and interpret ply books.
• Operate DCS machines and maintain inspection records accurately.
• Strong documentation skills and knowledge of quality control requirements.
• Highly organised, detail-focused and able to work to strict deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sign off composite components at staged and final inspection points.
• Carry out in-process checks to ensure parts meet drawings, ply books and specifications.
• Inspect components prepared for bonding and perform water break and RA testing where required.
• Operate DSC machine, record results and maintain inspection documentation.
• Update records in Dynamics 365 and release work to next operation.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers and labs to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement and development of inspection processes.
