Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading motorsport engineering team on a fixed-term contract until 2030, focusing on design and development of high-performance mechanical systems across the full product lifecycle.

You will create detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and documentation, work with Windchill for release, and collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years designing mechanical components with PTC Creo.
• 2+ years using Windchill/PDMLink for drawings and release.
• Experience with AutoCAD and BS8888 standards.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems for R&D projects.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Support full product development lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
• Modify and improve existing systems; provide fault-finding support.
• Generate technical reports and design documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage engineering drawings and document release in Windchill.
• Provide technical support to operations and engineers as needed.
• Occasionally travel to support projects.
