Job summary

Formula One is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a fixed-term contract until 2030 to support the FRO project. You will design, develop and document high quality mechanical solutions, including 3D modelling, 2D drafting and robust release processes.

The role involves global site work, rapid fault finding and close collaboration with multiple departments. Applicants should have 5+ years with PTC Creo, experience in Windchill PDMLink and AutoCAD, and a strong grasp of BS8888 standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing with PTC Creo.
• Experience with AutoCAD software.
• 3+ years administering and releasing with Windchill PDMLink 10.1.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and produce high quality mechanical solutions with documentation.
• Draft components and assemblies for Mechanical Engineering and R&D projects.
• Support, modify, maintain and repair mechanical systems in the UK and abroad.
• Carry out 3D modelling and 2D design; update existing designs and diagrams.
• Full design cycle work from conception to commissioning and costing.
• Prepare thorough design documentation and reports for management.
• Handover completed projects with documentation to operations and assist teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers and consultants as needed.
