Qualifications

  • Experience in diagnosis and fault finding mandatory.
  • Knowledge of BMW brands is an advantage.
  • MOT testing knowledge beneficial.

Job description

Bowker Motor Group are recruiting a full-time Motorcycle Technician for their award-winning BMW Motorrad Centre on Preston Docklands.

The Role:

Includes but is not limited to:

  • To ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of motorcycles of all types.
  • To employ such knowledge and skills as may be required to test motorcycles and diagnose faults.
  • To carry out servicing and repairs in a safe, economical, efficient and competent manner and to BMW standards.
  • To note and report all components, materials and consumables used.
  • To report current and possible future motorcycle faults and servicing requirements noticed whilst working on vehicles.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience must include diagnosis and fault finding, as well as carrying out services. MOT testing would also be advantageous
  • A passion for delivering the highest level of customer service
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • An effective communicator
  • Experience with the BMW brands would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
  • To have served a recognised apprenticeship
  • To have attained a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent
  • To display an ability and desire to progress through the BMW (UK) Technicians Institute

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 08.30am – 5.00pm with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes. Saturdays will be required on a rota basis paid at over time, 8.30am- 12.30pm.
