East Sussex College Group in Eastbourne is seeking a part-time Motor Vehicle Workshop Assistant to support our Motor Vehicle Department. You will help prepare and run practical sessions, set up workshops for learners and tutors, and work with colleagues to keep the workshops safe and well maintained.

The role offers a pro‑rata annual salary around £12,345–£25,800, with generous annual leave, a pension, and opportunities to pursue funded teaching qualifications and training.

Qualifications

• Relevant Motor Vehicle industry qualifications and experience.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to workshop preparation and maintenance.
• A commitment to promoting safety and supporting effective practical learning.
• Experience working with young people or in an educational workshop setting (desirable)

Responsabilités

• Preparing and setting up workshops for practical activities for learners and tutors
• Delivering practical workshop teaching sessions to groups of learners
• Working collaboratively with tutors and colleagues to maintain safe workshop environments
• Organising and overseeing equipment maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion
