GSL Education Hull Branch is recruiting a Motor Vehicle Tutor in Hull to deliver practical, vocational training for learners in a specialist educational setting. You will guide students through vehicle maintenance tasks and workshop procedures, tailoring activities to ability and learning needs while promoting confidence and employability.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, safety compliance, and ongoing progress feedback in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, trade experience or substantial industry experience within Motor Vehicle or Automotive Engineering.
• Previous experience in vocational training, tutoring, teaching or mentoring is desirable.
• Strong practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, diagnostics and workshop safety.
• Ability to engage and support young people who may have additional learning needs or barriers to education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical sessions covering vehicle maintenance, repair, components and workshop procedures.
• Demonstrate automotive techniques clearly and provide hands-on guidance throughout practical activities.
• Support learners to develop technical knowledge, confidence, independence and employability skills.

Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle professional who enjoys sharing practical knowledge with young people? Do you have the patience, technical expertise and enthusiasm to help learners develop valuable automotive skills through hands-on training?

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking Motor Vehicle Tutors to work in a specialist educational setting in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional or vocational tutor who can deliver practical, engaging learning and support young people to build confidence, independence and employability skills.

Motor Vehicle Tutor Role:

The successful Motor Vehicle Tutor will provide practical and vocational training in a supportive learning environment. You will guide learners through a range of automotive tasks, helping them develop their technical understanding while adapting activities to suit different abilities, learning needs and levels of confidence.

Motor Vehicle Tutor Responsibilities:

• Patient, approachable and encouraging communication style, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
• An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
