A leading automotive company in Ipswich is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice. You will work in a BMW/MINI workshop maintaining and repairing vehicles. The apprenticeship includes training at the BMW Group Academy, covering essential skills and advanced technology. Applicants should have relevant GCSEs and a keen interest in the automotive industry. Successful candidates will continue their development upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Group1 Ipswich is looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice.
You will be working in a busy BMW/MINI workshop environment, responsible for maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the BMW/MINI brand.
All BMW Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentices attend the BMW Group Academy UK in Berkshire for their off-the-job training. This ensures consistent training throughout the UK and allows our apprentices to train on up-to-the-minute products and technology. The training takes place over a 3-year period, combining classroom and workshop sessions.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will continue your development on the BMW Technical Programme.
Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the BMW Group Academy in Berkshire for training. Training is conducted in one-week blocks approximately every two to three months. All training costs are covered by the BMW Retailer, including travel, accommodation, and food.
All Motor Vehicle Technician, Aftersales Customer Service (Parts & Service), and Motorcycle Technician Apprentices will be employed at their local BMW Retailer and attend the BMW Group Academy for training. The Academy is based at Wokefield Park near Reading in Berkshire. Bodyshop Technician (Paint & Panel) Apprentices will be employed at their local BMW Retailer or Bodyshop, with training at the Milton Keynes facility.
Motor vehicle service and maintenance technician (light vehicle). Applications are processed by BMW Group Academy.
A mentor will oversee your work-based learning, and a BMW representative will visit every 12 weeks to set performance targets and support your development.
Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 in English, Maths, and one other subject.
