Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician
Salary: Basic Salary £36,608 (depending onexperience and qualifications) + opportunity to earn up to £18,000 bonus(annually)
Full Time and Permanent – 4 day week!
Our client is an automotive retailer representingprestigious car Brands, they have a total of 30 businesses providing sales,service and accident repair services across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire.
Established since 1931, they are a successful andprogressive third generation family owned business.
They are now actively looking to recruit for a QualifiedVehicle Technician / Mechanic for their premium and luxury dealership inBasingstoke. They are happy to consider Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 qualifiedVehicle Technicians / Mechanics.
They work a 4 day week, working pattern.
Key Responsibilities
· Usingdiagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults arediagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearlyunderstand problems as and when required.
· Ensurefull understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and howto diagnose and repair faults on them.
· Carry outdiagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to theappropriate specification.
· Ensure allwork is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
· Liaise andseek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over andabove work specified.
· Checklevel and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testingvehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
· Completerelevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in linewith brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
· Completevehicle health checks
· Ensurethat workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use ofspecial and personal tools.
· RelevantLevel 3 City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
· Competencyin numeracy, literacy and IT.
· Full UKdriving licence.
Our client will also consider Level 2 qualifiedTechnicians and also Diagnostic and Level 4 qualified Technicians, theysalaries for these roles will vary depending on qualifications and experience.
