Job Description:

Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s motor team, they are seeking to appoint a Paralegal to work alongside its existing team, handling their own caseload of litigated motor files. Responsibilities include dealing with quantum and liability, employing effective telephone negotiation techniques to secure suitable settlements.

The role involves considering engineering and medical evidence, GP records, taking witness statements, drafting court documents, and managing cases through to trial, including instructing Counsel.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a litigated caseload, whether in small claims or fast track cases.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract initially.

The Candidate:

• Sound knowledge of the highway code and basic road traffic act principles
• Basic knowledge of the Court Practice Rules

• Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize, and manage a varied caseload
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
