Job Opportunity: Experienced Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and reliable mechanic to join our busy Adelaide-based workshop.

Our long-standing and reputable business offers servicing, diagnosing, and repairs for all European models. The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive team of other mechanics.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing all makes and models
2. Dismantling and removing engine parts and assemblies
3. Reassembling engine components after repairs
4. Testing mechanical parts for competency and repairing if necessary
5. Inspecting vehicles and testing for roadworthiness
6. Providing customer service and performing cleaning duties as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

• AQF Cert III including at least 2 years of experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience to substitute formal qualifications
• Experience in servicing and repairs on all makes and models
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
• Reliable, trustworthy, and professional
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults efficiently using factory and generic diagnostic scanners

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications as specified above.

Personal Abilities, Aptitudes, and Skills:

• Proficient in speaking and writing English
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Physically fit
• Well presented
• Basic computer literacy

Experience:

• 4-year apprenticeship plus 4 years as a tradesman
• Vehicle fault finding, including electrical systems
• Logbook servicing to OEM specifications

Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
