Overview

Motor Commercial Lead – Edinburgh (Ideally a few times a week in the office but open to candidates across the country). Up to £75k.

Are you ready to take the lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure commercial environment? We are seeking a dynamic Motor Commercial Lead to join our Financial Services client to drive the trading side of their commercial function, focusing on budget, forecasting, and performance against plan. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong commercial acumen and a passion for data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the commercial team
  • Set and manage the financial plan, monitor trade performance, and identify deviations
  • Work cross-functionally with pricing teams and aggregators
  • Deliver post-implementation reviews and provide business recommendations
  • Report directly to the executive team and engage with underwriters to drive business actions
  • Get under the skin of performance metrics and leverage data to inform strategy
  • Ensure delivery of commercial objectives and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a commercial role within Insurance (Motor or Home preferred; open to Pet & Travel)
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead a team
  • Data analysis skills: able to interpret analysis and ask the right questions
  • Experience working with underwriters
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
