An insurance company in Bolton is seeking an In-house Engineer to provide technical expertise in the Motor Claims Department. Responsibilities include assessing vehicle damage, negotiating settlements, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in motor insurance claims and hold an Automotive Technician Accreditation. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £35,000 with additional benefits including a bonus and pension scheme.
It's an exciting time to join the Motor Engineering department here at AXA. As an In-house Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical expertise to our Motor Claims Department, Brokers and Customers while successfully managing and controlling damage spend on Motor Insurance Claims.
You'll be instrumental to the team by undertaking remote vehicle inspections using the most appropriate methods such as written reports, data, and digital imaging, to ensure the accurate valuing of the motor vehicle claims. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
