Qualifications

Motion Graphics Designer

London (hybrid, 2-3 days in-office)

Are you a London–based Motion Graphics Designer who is comfortable having your face licked by some of your coworkers? If so, do we have the job for you!

Join The Disobedient, Edgard & Cooper’s creative studio, which is tasked with telling the world what over a million pets already know: that Edgard & Cooper makes nutritious pet food. You’ll work alongside copywriters, strategists, and designers (and dogs!), mainly using digital touchpoints. Ideally, you have strong executional skills and want to develop your conceptual thinking.

If you do your job well, you'll create some of the best work of your career while helping to build one of the most iconic brands in the world. The bar’s high, but achievable!

Responsibilities

Our mantra is, “The worst thing you can do is everything we ask.” The Disobedient is an ideal environment for proactive, self-starting creatives who think beyond assigned tasks. Nonetheless, your responsibilities will include:

• Conceptualize, draft, & produce joyful motion graphics, primarily videos, but also other creative assets.
• Manage your own projects, collaborating closely with copywriters, marketers, & fellow designers.
• Solve visual challenges from concept to execution.
• As a scale-up, we may ask you to take on additional fun tasks. We promise they won’t bite.

Skills & Capabilities

We value a wide range of talents and passions. To fit in well, you should ideally:

• Have a few years of experience in motion graphics, with some brand and campaign work.
• Be fluent in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Bonus points for Cinema 4D or similar skills.
• Regularly find new ways to apply our brand standards to keep work fresh.
• Be a natural multitasker, able to prioritize amidst Slack threads, briefs, and curious pets.
• Feel comfortable communicating with colleagues across departments and managing multiple briefs simultaneously.
• Possess a healthy dissatisfaction with your work, motivating continuous improvement.
