Motion Graphic Designer

World Snooker Limited is the commercial entity responsible for the commercial exploitation and promotion of professional snooker events and is the custodian of the sport’s commercial rights.

Our vision is to expand our global footprint and increase our portfolio of major events. That means making our flagship tournaments like the World Championship, Masters, and UK Championship bigger and better, enhancing our own-managed Tour Events like the Tour Championship, Players Championship and the Four Nations Series, and continuing to grow major international events such as the World Grand Prix in Hong Kong and the events we currently stage in mainland China.

Under the leadership of Chairman Steve Dawson and CEO Simon Brownell, the World Snooker Tour is going through an exciting period of innovation and strategic growth. With a global calendar of over 20 events and an audience of over 500 million viewers worldwide, the next chapter is focused on deepening engagement between the sport and its fans while providing unrivalled exposure and value to our partners and sponsors.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the World Snooker Tour Marketing Team on a full-time, permanent basis, based in our central Bristol office. Remote working would be considered for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality motion graphics and animated assets for marketing activities across social media, digital platforms, broadcast content, and partner channels. You will also assist in creating set graphics for live events, helping to bring the visual identity of World Snooker Tour events to life.

This role requires a creative, organized, and technically skilled designer passionate about producing world-class motion design and branding work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce engaging motion graphics for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and partner channels.
  2. Design animated assets for promotional campaigns, event marketing, in-venue screens, sponsor activations, and broadcast graphics.
  3. Create graphic packages for event set designs, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  4. Support broader graphic design needs, including static assets like posters, web banners, and partner materials.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure creative alignment and brand consistency.
  6. Manage project files according to organizational standards.
  7. Stay updated on motion design trends to keep output modern and innovative.
  8. Support on-site content creation and graphic installation at events as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience creating assets for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
  • Understanding of layout, typography, colour, and branding.
  • Ability to interpret briefs and develop visual solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Video editing and basic colour grading experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 3D motion graphics desirable.
  • Degree in Design, Animation, Motion Graphics or related field is advantageous but not essential.
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in motion graphics or digital design.
  • Interest in sports and entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Proactive, flexible team player comfortable collaborating across departments.
Additional Information
  • This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bristol; remote work may be considered.
  • Salary: Submit expectations; discretionary bonus scheme offered.
  • Some travel to UK and international events; evening and weekend work may be required, with expenses covered.
