Koto in London is seeking a designer-leader who blends creativity and practicality to deliver exceptional motion work for clients and case studies. You will lead, mentor, and direct teams of 3D artists, 2D animators and illustrators to realise bold concepts.

The role requires hands-on design plus leadership, with travel to international studios and a commitment to in-person collaboration at our London studio.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and refine ideas with the Creative Director, guiding the team to frame and realise them.
• Lead and design in equal measure, directing 3D artists, 2D animators and illustrators.
• Collaborate with the team, mentoring motion, art-direction and design, acting as a conduit between Creative Directors and motion designers.
• Build strong narratives, create presentations and run client workshops, continuing dialogue after the pitch.
• Show strong branding, motion systems and campaigns understanding, delivering work for top brands.
• Own your role, take feedback from management, and support teammates.
• Manage time and calendars, attend resourcing meetings to deliver within scope.
• Willing to work in person in our London studio and travel globally.
• Find and recruit team members to assemble a capable motion team.
• Sell motion capabilities to clients to drive new revenue streams.

Your Responsibilities

• You identify, curate and refine great ideas in collaboration with the Creative Director. You know how to realise and frame them expertly. You encourage and nurture all of this in your team, teaching them to do the same.
• You spend your time leading and designing in equal parts. You champion exceptional motion and do whatever is required practically or creatively to make them a reality. You can direct 3D artists, 2D animators and illustrators to produce outstanding work.
• You collaborate intimately with the team around you, mentoring wherever possible - this applies to motion, art-direction and design teams. You manage both up and down acting as the conduit between Creative Directors and Motion Designers.
• You can build strong narratives, construct presentations and lead workshops with the client, continuing the dialogue around the work with them beyond the presentation.
• You demonstrate an exceptional understanding of branding, motion systems and campaigns and the creative practitioners within it. You consistently deliver work for the most impactful companies of today and the founders defining tomorrow.
• You demonstrate ownership of your role and can both take and action feedback from your manager to progress within it. You can deliver actionable feedback and valuable support for any member of your team.
• You have a strong awareness of the time and team required to produce excellent work. You are able to successfully manage your own time, your team’s time, calendars and meetings to deliver work within scope. You will attend and use resourcing meetings for this.
• You have a willingness to work in person in our London studio and are open to travel globally, from Stuttgart to San Francisco.
• You are responsible for finding team members to make up a team capable of delivering motion excellence when required to.
• You can sell the power of motion and motion systems to clients to drive new revenue streams and potential project extensions.

• We will actively reward performance with promotions, pay increases and a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of salary to all employees.
