MOT Tester/Motor Mechanic in St Albans

Newstaff Employment is hiring a qualified MOT Tester/Motor Mechanic in St Albans to join a busy, well-established garage workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician to step into a fast-paced environment alongside a friendly and skilled team.

Location: St Albans
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm and every other Saturday
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles
• Working efficiently within a team of experienced mechanics
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
• Must be a qualified and certified MOT Tester
• 3–5 years’ experience working as a Motor Mechanic
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative
