Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited is recruiting an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established automotive garage near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards and communicate findings clearly to the workshop team.

The role offers flexible options (full-time or part-time), with hours from 08:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. A valid MOT qualification and driving licence are preferred, with prior workshop experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Carry out MOT tests accurately to DVSA safety and roadworthiness standards.
• Complete MOT documentation and records accurately and in line with regulations.
• Identify vehicle defects and communicate advisory or repair needs clearly to workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring all vehicles meet current DVSA safety and roadworthiness standards.
• Complete all required MOT documentation and records accurately and in line with current regulations.
• Identify vehicle defects and clearly communicate any advisory or repair requirements to the wider workshop team.
• Support with general vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair work where required and depending on experience.
