Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Greenock is seeking an MOT Tester to join our East Hamilton Street branch. You’ll work with a skilled team to conduct MOT tests, identify defects and advise customers, ensuring vehicles meet DVSA standards.

We offer a competitive £40,000–£50,000 salary (DOE) with overtime paid at time and a half, generous leave, private healthcare, pension and ongoing EV training to keep you at the forefront of automotive tech.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician – Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred).
• DVSA Tester Certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identify vehicle defects and failures.
• Keep up to date with MOT testing guidelines and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspections.
• Provide customer service and technical advice.
