Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is assisting a busy main dealership in Slough to hire an experienced MOT Tester. The role involves carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards, reporting defects, and performing servicing and minor repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT Tester Licence, have previous MOT testing or automotive workshop experience, and a Full UK Driving Licence with the right to work in the UK; Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance is desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester Licence required.
• Previous MOT testing or automotive workshop experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Identify and report vehicle defects and safety concerns.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and minor repairs when required.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (EVHC).
• Complete MOT documentation and workshop records accurately.
