Salary: £34,000 Basic + Bonus

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting MOT inspections to DVSA standards while ensuring a smooth customer experience and supporting workshop efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations
• Accurately recording test results and completing all required documentationIdentifying defects and advisory items and reporting findings clearly
• Maintaining MOT testing equipment and designated testing areas
• Keeping MOT training and industry knowledge up to date
• Supporting efficient day-to-day workshop operations
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures
• Working closely with the aftersales team to deliver excellent customer service

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A current and valid MOT Tester licence
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous experience carrying out MOT testing
• Strong understanding of DVSA standards and testing procedures
• Excellent attention to detail
• A professional, reliable approach to work
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience with manufacturer-franchised environments desirable but not essential

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Saturday rota requirement
