Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm, including Saturday mornings on a rota (paid as overtime x1.5)

Salary

£47,000 OTE (including £25,000 to £39,000 basic depending on qualifications and experience, plus bonus and an additional £2,000 for EV qualification)

About the Role

Lookers Stockport Volvo is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join our workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and performing repairs.

Reporting and Development

You will report to Service Manager Ben Rowe, who will support your success. We offer career progression and training, including manufacturer schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to advance your career.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using advanced technology
• Performing vehicle services per manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Executing additional repairs with customer approval
• Completing warranty repairs as per guidelines and proper documentation
• Road testing vehicles to ensure faults are rectified
• Completing all paperwork accurately

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience, and a full UK driving license. Self-motivated, team-supportive, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high standards are essential.

Previous brand experience, diagnostic skills, MOT, and EV experience are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Salary Range

£25,000 for PDI Technician/MOT Tester up to £39,000 for Master Technician, plus £2,000 for EV qualification.
