Job description

MOT Tester required for our Client’s busy multi-site garage, located in Southampton.

The salary of this role is up to £36,000 basic with OTE of £40,200.

MOT Testers play a huge role in our Client’s company, and they play a huge role in keeping our roads safe!

Benefits:

- Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30; Saturdays on a rota, with a day off in the week when working on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

- The ability to communicate with customers effectively
- Carrying out MOT Failure rectification work as and when required
- Ensuring VOSA standards are met at all times.
- Complete fast fit tyre fitting and using an alignment machine – understanding relevant adjustments and readings.
- Applying strong mechanical knowledge to fit brakes, exhausts and other general parts.

Requirements:

- Hold a valid MOT Licence
- Preferably a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent.
- Have previous working experience within the role
- Working collaboratively in a team environment.
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- A sound Mechanical knowledge
