Overview

Job Title: MOT Tester / Service Technician

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Salary: Up to £47,600 OTE (£30,000 - £39,000 basic + £6,600 uncapped bonus + £2,000 EV bonus) plus overachievement bonus

Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, and every other Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Opportunity

We’re recruiting an experienced MOT Tester / Service Technician to join a busy and well-equipped workshop in Liverpool. Working alongside skilled technicians, you’ll conduct vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology, carry out servicing to manufacturer standards, and undertake authorised repairs. You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable Aftersales Manager and offered excellent training opportunities including manufacturer-accredited schemes and hybrid/electric vehicle training to support your career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle health checks using modern diagnostic tools
  • Conduct servicing as per manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
  • Carry out authorised repairs including warranty work, ensuring proper documentation
  • Road test vehicles to confirm all faults are rectified
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and to a high standard
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Relevant motor industry experience (dealer or independent garage)
  • Full and valid UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills
  • Ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high-quality workmanship
  • Brand experience is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided
  • Diagnostic, MOT, and electric vehicle experience advantageous but not essential
