Job summary

Listers Volvo Worcester is seeking a certificated MOT Tester to join the workshop team. The role covers MOT tests and related workshop support with a schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota.

OTE up to £35,000 plus benefits, with training and progression opportunities in a modern facility. Applicants should hold a DVSA MOT licence for classes 4 and 7, have a full UK driving licence, and be prepared to undergo brand and manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence with DVSA.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience as Motor Vehicle Technician is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT testing to required standards.
• Operate additional systems such as video reporting (CitNOW).
• Complete paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team to learn and share knowledge.
• Work within DVSA framework.
• Maintain customer satisfaction impact on the business.

Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, the opportunity has arisen for a certificated MOT Tester to join the team at Listers Volvo Worcester, assisting with a variety of workshop support work alongside MOT Tests. The working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday working from 8:30am to 12:30pm on a rota basis. Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and are reflective of each applicant's experience and skillset. We offer an excellent basic salary, with OTE up to £35,000 plus benefits. Role and Responsibilities

• The main responsibilities would include MOT Testing.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting (i.e., CitNOW).
• You will be able to complete all paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
• To work within DVSA framework.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, within required timescales, and in accordance with established and documented procedures and standards from both the Company and Ministry of Transport.

About you

• You must have a valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence with DVSA and have an up-to-date annual training record and passed the assessment.
• Previous experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician and brand accreditations would be beneficial but not essential, as brand training will be provided.
• Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality.
• Full Driving licence.
