An Inchcape Vehicle Technician MOT Tester will have superb technical knowledge, a professional attitude, and will ensure that the highest quality of service is maintained. Day to day, you will be working on a product range, with a globally recognised luxury brand that is rightly proud of its rich history and aspires to be a leader in connectivity, electrification, automated driving, and alternative drives.

We are looking for an MOT Tester who holds the relevant MOT Tester qualification with a view to progressing and working towards a diagnostic qualification. A further £1,000 is awarded upon becoming accredited at this level within the brand we are recruiting for.

Main Responsibilities

1. Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair
2. Utilise your technical knowledge
3. Test, diagnose, and resolve faults
4. Suggest and implement process improvements
5. Work on electrical and mechanical systems
6. Inspect components for wear and tear
7. Repair and replace parts
8. Liaise with customers when necessary
9. Support other Technicians in the Workshop

The Ideal Candidate

• Possess knowledge to operate modern diagnostic equipment
• Capable of working to the highest quality standards
• Great team player with strong communication skills
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Experience working towards efficiency targets
• Hold a full UK driving license
• Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable but not essential
• Must be a VOSA approved MOT tester
• Must hold a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair NVQ or equivalent
