Job Title: MOT Tester

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £33,000 Basic Plus bonus OTE £39,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30-5, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

My client in Chelmsford is recruiting for an MOT Tester to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks, conducting vehicle services, and performing repairs. You will also advise customers on MOT test outcomes and any remedial work needed, and perform service work when required.

You will report to the service manager who will support your development and provide tools for success. They offer career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.

MOT Testers are vital within the Service team, delivering excellent customer service. If you are a qualified Vehicle Technician or experienced Mechanic, whether from a dealer group or independent garage, please apply today!

Main responsibilities:

• Carrying out vehicle MOTs using the latest technology
• Conducting vehicle services per manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Performing authorized repairs
• Completing warranty repairs as per manufacturer’s guidelines
• Road testing vehicles to ensure faults are fixed
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately

Technical skills and qualifications:

• Relevant MOT tester qualification
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Good vehicle diagnostics knowledge
• Full UK driving license
