Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an MOT Tester for BMW Southend to perform MOT testing, service, and repairs to high standards. You will liaise with the Service Reception and Workshop Control to communicate test results and any required additional work, while maintaining quality controls and excellent knowledge of automotive services.

The role emphasizes maintaining strong customer care, teamwork, and efficient administration, contributing to a safe, reliable service experience for customers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester.
• Thorough and meticulous.
• Efficient & flexible.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Customer & quality awareness.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT service and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
• Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control on test result and additional work necessary.
• Ensure quality inspection controls are carried out.
• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.
