Job description

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester required in Chingford.

Our client, a franchised main car dealership, is currently looking to hire a qualified Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for their busy Chingford dealership.

Details & Benefits of this Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role:

• Basic salary up to £30,400 depending on experience, with an OTE of up to £35,000 p.a.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Alternate Saturdays, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

• Generous pension contribution of up to 7%
• Starting with 22 days of annual leave, increasing to 26 with continued service, plus bank holidays

Main duties of a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester include:

• Perform work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed (VHC) and notify the Service Team
• Complete MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
• Communicate repair timescales effectively with the Service Team
• Document all work performed using company procedures and systems
• Attend manufacturer training courses and stay updated with technical bulletins
• Maintain a neat workshop area and take care of dealership-owned tools
• Follow local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
• Adhere to the company's code of conduct and safety policies
