Job summary

A well-established automotive workshop in South Croydon is seeking an experienced MOT Technician to join their team. You will perform MOT tests on cars and light vans, along with servicing and regular maintenance.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8am–5pm) with a friendly, supportive environment and opportunities for hybrid/electric vehicle testing training. Certification can be provided if needed, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven MOT Technician with strong work ethic.
• Experience performing MOT tests; certification can be provided.
• Experience with 2 poster lifts and basic diagnostics.
• Calm, responsible and able to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests on cars and light vans.
• Perform general servicing and routine maintenance.
• Carry out clutch and timing belt replacements and other repairs.
• Work on vehicles using MOT testing equipment for small vans and cars.
• Assist with diagnostics and basic fault finding.

• - Assisting with diagnostics, including code reading, with dealer-level diagnostics not necessary
• - Maintaining high standards of customer service and workshop efficiency

Requirements
