Job summary

Octane Recruitment clients are seeking a MOT Technician to join a fast-fit automotive centre in Ashford. You will be responsible for completing MOTs on customer cars and performing light repairs, with training provided to gain any missing qualifications.

The role requires a valid MOT licence and experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester. Hours are 08:30–17:30, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota and a day off in the week. Salary ranges £33,000 to £38,000 plus uncapped OTE £3,600.

Qualifications

• Valid UK MOT licence is essential.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician is required.
• Experience as an MOT Tester is essential.
• Willing to undertake Level 3 qualifications (IMI & Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Perform light and full-service work.
• Carry out fast fit duties as required.
• Collaborate with workshop and centre departments to meet targets.
• Ensure DVSA processes are followed.

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Ashford.

As aMOTTechnicianwould be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician. You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Ashford

Pay / salary: £33,000 to £38,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

MOT Technician Responsibilities:

• Completing MOTs on customer vehicles
• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties as and (when required)
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Working with other centre departments (Service, Parts, etc) and ensuring that they are well informed
• Ensure the correct DVSA process is followed

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence - Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
