Job description

Mortgage Services Development Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Mortgage Advisor to take their first step into a management role after approximately 12 to 18 months with an OTE of £75k.

Purpose:

To provide supervisory support to the Mortgage Services Sales Manager and achieve revenue and product sales as a Mortgage Advisor.

Responsibilities of a Mortgage Services Development Manager:

• Support and develop less experienced colleagues.
• Supervisory support (including all aspects of T & C requirements) for mortgage advisors, as agreed with the Sales Manager.

Functional Knowledge Required:

• Excellent knowledge of core Financial Services products such as Mortgages, Life Assurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection, and Buildings & Contents Insurance.
• Knowledge of house purchase/move related secondary services like Conveyancing and Estate Agency operations.
• Technical and e-commerce knowledge to promote group services effectively.
• Understanding of Financial Services compliance rules specific to mortgage & protection business.
• Experience within a Training and Competence framework, with a complete understanding of Group T & C Scheme Skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven track record in sales and customer-facing environments.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to identify and maximize business opportunities.
• Aptitude for coaching and motivating others, especially in business generation.
• Ability to analyze client needs to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Background, Experience, and Qualifications:

• At least two years of financial services experience, with nine months as a Senior Mortgage Advisor preferred.
• Consistent performance in business production and quality.
• Knowledge of latest products and market developments.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CeMAP or equivalent.
