Job Title: Buy-to-Let Mortgage Broker

Location: Fleet, with hybrid working (2-3 days WFH per week)

Salary: Up to 40,000 + Commission

About our client and the role of Buy-to-Let Mortgage Broker:

Our client is a specialist broker, mainly operating in the bridging and development sphere. Due to experiencing high levels of growth and generating ample BTL/1st charge residential leads, they are looking to bring on an experienced mortgage advisor to help expand their offering and become an important member of the team.

As a Mortgage Broker, you will benefit from leads generated for you, although you can self-generate leads to assist in your development. Your primary focus will be on BTL, term loans, and regulated mortgage contracts for 1st charge mortgages. Most importantly, you will need good experience in identifying and handling specialist finance opportunities, including complex cases.

Responsibilities for the role of Buy-to-Let Mortgage Broker:

1. Conducting extensive fact-find appointments with clients to understand their mortgage needs and financial position.
2. Evaluating clients' financial information to determine eligibility for mortgage products while providing professional, high-quality advice and recommending suitable mortgage products that meet clients' needs.
3. Rationalising and documenting product choices and reasons for recommendations.
4. Collaborating with third-party lenders and internal Case Managers to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications.
5. Liaising with internal Compliance staff to ensure compliance and continual development.
6. Staying up to date with industry regulations and changes in mortgage products and services.
7. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, lenders, and other industry professionals.

Experience required for the role of Buy-to-Let Mortgage Broker:

• Specialist BTL experience, e.g., MUB, HMO, Ltd Company BTL, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of the mortgage market and regulatory environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Interest in self-development.
• CeMap qualified or higher.
• Willing to travel the country and attend property meetings.
• Proven track record of successful sales and client relationship management.
