Job summary

Mortgage Advice Bureau – Birmingham Mortgage Hub, part of Mortgage Advice Bureau, is seeking an Experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser. The role is predominantly remote with occasional office or partner-branch attendance and supports six estate agency branches across Bromsgrove, Redditch and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• CeMAP or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience as Mortgage & Protection Adviser is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the residential mortgage market is expected.
• Experience working with estate agents or in an estate agency environment is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely and manage workload effectively across Hybrid/remote setup.

Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire

Working pattern: Hybrid/remote

Salary: £26,000–£34,000 basic, plus commission

Contract: Permanent, employed position

The opportunity

Birmingham Mortgage Hub, part of Mortgage Advice Bureau, is looking for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established adviser who enjoys developing strong relationships with estate agency teams and providing customers with high-quality mortgage and protection advice.

You will receive business opportunities from six estate agency branches across Bromsgrove, Redditch and the surrounding areas. The majority of cases are residential purchases, providing a consistent and varied flow of customers requiring mortgage and protection advice.

The position offers predominantly remote working, although you must live within a reasonable distance of Birmingham and Bromsgrove and be available to attend the office or partner branches when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing suitable mortgage and protection advice to new and existing customers
• Managing residential purchase and remortgage cases from initial enquiry through to completion
• Building productive relationships with estate agency branch teams
• Responding promptly to customer referrals and business opportunities
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements
• Delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the mortgage journey
• Identifying appropriate protection needs and recommending suitable solutions

We are looking for someone who:

• Is CeMAP qualified, or holds an equivalent recognised qualification
• Has previous experience as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser
• Has a strong understanding of the residential mortgage market
• Ideally has experience working alongside estate agents or within an estate agency environment
• Is confident building relationships and converting referred leads
• Can manage their own workload effectively while working remotely
• Has excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills
• Lives within reasonable travelling distance of Bromsgrove and Birmingham
