Mortgage Adviser - Leamington Spa

Type of Position: Mortgage Adviser - Leamington Spa
Pay: £30k - £40k

Due to our client’s ongoing success, they have an opportunity for an experienced mortgage specialist to join their team in Leamington Spa. We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Adviser who will be largely based on-site within the property practice, providing quality financial advice to new potential clients looking to make both residential and commercial property purchases.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Meet with clients to understand their financial situation, goals, and needs.
2. Provide professional advice on available mortgage options, including fixed-rate, variable-rate, buy-to-let, and government schemes.
3. Help clients select the most suitable mortgage product based on their budget and preferences.
4. Guide clients through the mortgage application process.
5. Complete and submit mortgage applications on behalf of clients to lenders.
6. Ensure all necessary documentation is gathered and submitted, such as income statements, credit histories, and property details.
7. Stay up-to-date with market trends, new products, and lending criteria.
8. Research and compare different lenders’ products to find the best options for clients.
9. Ensure all advice and transactions comply with financial regulations, including those set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or other regulatory bodies.
10. Provide clear, written records of advice given to clients, maintaining full transparency.
11. Keep clients informed about the progress of their application.
12. Answer any questions or concerns clients may have throughout the mortgage process.
13. Follow up with clients post-application to ensure satisfaction and offer additional services if needed.
14. Build relationships with estate agents, financial advisers, and other professionals to generate leads and referrals.
15. Attend networking events to stay connected with industry professionals and expand the client base.
16. Offer advice on how to improve credit scores, saving for deposits, or making financial decisions related to homeownership.
17. Provide guidance on remortgaging and managing existing mortgage products.

Desired Skills:

1. Show passion in delivering high quality work for all clients and other members of the team.
2. Knowledge of running stress tests on portfolios.
3. Must have a keen eye for detail.
4. CeMAP Diploma.
5. Experience with dealing with High-net-worth clients.
6. Experience working alongside Chartered Financial Planners.
