Job summary

Sodexo Ltd in Speke, Liverpool is looking for a friendly Food Service Assistant to join the catering team at Elanco AH. This permanent, full-time position covers 35 hours per week, with Monday to Friday shifts from 7:00am to 2:00pm and a rate of £12.71 per hour.

You will help with food preparation, serve meals and beverages, operate tills, and maintain clean, safe service and kitchen areas. The role suits someone who enjoys teamwork and delivering excellent customer service in a busy catering

Qualifications

• Experience in busy catering or food service environment.
• Experience with cash handling and operating tills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food for the restaurant, hospitality and special functions.
• Serve meals and beverages to customers during service.
• Provide a friendly, professional and efficient service.
• Operate tills accurately and handle customer transactions securely.
• Keep kitchen, counter, storage and service areas clean and tidy.
• Operate the dishwasher and support the smooth flow of clean crockery and equipment.
• Help maintain vending machines, including cleanliness and stock levels.
• Complete required food temperature and wastage records.
• Follow all food hygiene, Health & Safety, COSHH and site procedures.
