Job summary

The role supports the Early Years Foundation Stage through play-based learning and continuous provision, assisting with developing communication, social and educational skills under the guidance of the class teacher. Applicants should have a Level 3 EYFS qualification and prior EYFS experience, with safeguarding checks as required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS qualification desirable, or a relevant Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is essential.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and continuous provision.
• Confident supporting children's learning through play and exploration.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support children across the EYFS setting during morning sessions.
• Engage pupils in high-quality continuous provision activities.
• Encourage children's communication, social, emotional, and educational development.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a stimulating learning environment.
• Support children's independence and progress through child-led and adult-led activities.
