Responsibilities include:

1. Carry out cleaning tasks as required by the contract specification and Supervisor within agreed timescales.
2. Be punctual and attend for duty as scheduled.
3. Achieve high standards of work while maintaining a positive team spirit.
4. Continuously develop and improve quality standards.
5. Meet managers', clients', and company's expectations.
6. Respond to reasonable requests from the company or client.
7. Ensure proper maintenance and storage of products, equipment, and materials.
8. Use initiative to resolve problems when appropriate.
9. Maintain professional appearance and conduct, and always wear appropriate clothing/PPE.
10. Communicate any unresolved cleaning issues.

Knowledge and Experience:

Vocational and Technical Skills: Awareness of Health & Safety issues.

Experience: Relevant experience in cleaning or similar roles.

Interpersonal Skills: Use tact and diplomacy when dealing with client personnel at all levels and visitors.

Responsibility:

• Human Resource Management: Responsible for checking work quality and supervising less experienced staff when required.
• Physical Resource Management: Responsible for the care of tools and materials, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring quality standards, especially in animal care environments.

Communication: Oral and written communication mainly with site management, client staff, contractors, visitors, inspectors, and governing bodies.

Mental Demands:

• Judgment and Decision Making: Decide how to approach tasks, sometimes changing priorities, based on experience or specifications.
• Original Thought and Problem Solving: Handle technical problems independently or seek help for unusual issues.
• Concentration: Maintain alertness, especially when working with machinery, in animal enclosures, or during emergencies, including lone working scenarios.
• Flexibility: Adapt to a variety of tasks and respond to internal interruptions, possibly outside of usual duties.

Working Conditions: Work may be outdoors, around animals, in adverse weather, and in environments with dirt, noise, pollution, and personal risk, requiring diligence and safety awareness.
