Job Description:

A leading feed company are searching for an adaptable nutritionist with a desire to optimise livestock health and performance.

For over 40 years this business has been at the forefront of developing quality feeds for both pig and game birds and hold a leading position in this sector.

With a particular focus on pig nutrition the person most suited to this role would be confident using Best Mix software, have full awareness of legislation changes and be comfortable communicating with the sales team, vets and on occasions directly with the farmer.

An emphasis on company progression gives this role the advantage of suiting an already qualified nutritionist or an experienced formulator wishing to further their career within the nutrition sector.

Key responsibilities:

Pricing and set up of manufactural products using Best Mix formulation programme or similar

Product labelling for game and piglet feeds

Assisting with the set up of new raw materials/manufactured products on the system

Ration formulation for on farm rations for pigs and accompanying minerals

Liaising with vets and sales teams

Requirements :

Degree in Agriculture, animal science or related subject, desirable but not essential

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to prioritise work load independently

Experience in a similar role

Attention to detail and numerical accuracy

The successful candidate will be remunerated with a generous salary 33days holiday(including bank holiday) plus holiday buy back scheme.
