Job summary

MISTRAS Group in Cambridge is seeking a Monitoring Systems Engineer to support the delivery of advanced SHM and remote monitoring solutions across infrastructure, industrial and energy projects. You will install, configure and commission sensors and data acquisition systems, travel to UK sites, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and project success.

You will have clear pathways into Technical Specialist or Project Management roles within a global engineering

Qualifications

Strong interest in engineering technology, monitoring solutions and asset performance.
Experience supporting technical projects within site-based or field environments.
Basic understanding of IT networks, communications systems and connected technologies.
Knowledge of site health and safety principles and safe working practices.
Awareness of CDM regulations in construction or engineering environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams effectively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience producing technical reports or installation records is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of monitoring projects from mobilisation to commissioning.
Act as technical lead on site during installation, configuration and commissioning of monitoring systems.
Deploy, configure and test sensors, data acquisition hardware and communications equipment.
Verify system functionality and data integrity before live monitoring.
Assist with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis during installation and commissioning.
Produce and maintain installation records and commissioning reports.
