Overview

The EMEA Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC), Specialized Monitoring and Testing Team is part of EMEA Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk Management (CCOR), and is responsible for managing and executing Testing across all lines of business in EMEA covering all aspects of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk.

As a Monitoring and Testing – Vice president within EMEA CCOR Specialized Testing team, you\'ll be responsible for the timely and effective management and execution of the EMEA CCOR GFCC (Specialized) testing activities to assess the effectiveness of financial crime related processes and controls. You will also be responsible for leading and supporting other EMEA CCOR GFCC testing programme/projects as required. This role offers an exciting opportunity with a supportive team to develop key skills and knowledge relating to different business areas and functions within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), Asset & Wealth Management and other lines of business.

Responsibilities
  • Execute EMEA CCOR Specialized Monitoring and Testing Programme in line with the firm’s expectation.
  • Perform testing to assess the design and effectiveness of controls in place to manage operational, compliance and conduct risks.
  • Self-manage testing of business process and controls against Regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Operational Risk and Compliance managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Validate action plans are addressing identified issues in line with the firm’s expectations.
  • Involve in departmental projects particularly in relation to the development of the Annual Testing Plan.
  • Work with global testing partners to support global testing assignments as directed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Relevant experience in Financial Crime/Compliance or Operational Risk Management experience in BSA/AML/KYC/Sanctions areas. Alternatively, other related experience such as audit, operations, business control management, or similar.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills - able to work across groups (Compliance, Controls and allied business groups), is collaborative, team-oriented and passionate about supporting internal / external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder management.
  • An understanding of operational risks and their drivers, and able to challenge the design and effectiveness of the associated business controls.
  • The ability to interpret financial regulations and regulatory requirements and assess operational compliance with those requirements.
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and able to demonstrate a good knowledge of control design and root cause analysis, including data analysis.
  • Have clear and concise verbal and written skills
  • Have good organizational skills with an ability to independently manage, prioritise, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Be comfortable interacting with, and presenting to senior management, control functions, including internal and external auditors.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • ACAMS, ICA or comparable certification preferred.
