If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference with great job satisfaction in a fast, dynamic, and thriving team, then come and join our Integration Platform team at Nationwide. We are central to the society’s tech strategy and the focal point for our current and future Kubernetes platform.

As a MongoDB Database Administrator, you will work in project teams designing, building, and maintaining MongoDB databases and infrastructure to deliver strong business solutions. You will be involved in all stages from design and build to supporting both non-production and production environments. We foster a learning culture at NBS, encouraging ongoing development and skill enhancement in relevant technologies. You will also have opportunities to join our communities to share ideas and collaborate with other engineers.

We are open to flexible working arrangements to support your best performance.

At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working where possible. This approach supports more rewarding relationships by bringing colleagues together across the UK while also providing generous home working options. We value in-office time for problem-solving, learning, and connection.

For this role, you will spend at least two days per week, or 40% of your time if part-time, based at either our London, Swindon, Northampton, or Bournemouth offices. Further details will be provided if your application is successful. More about our hybrid approach can be found here.

If you are outside of Swindon and London, you will need to attend Swindon or London once a month for workshops, collaboration, and meetings.

If we receive a high volume of applications, we may close the advert early, so apply soon.

What you’ll be doing

You will collaborate within delivery teams to build optimal solutions for Nationwide, leveraging your technical leadership and SME knowledge to advise, build systems, and resolve problems in the MongoDB space.
