The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Genetic Technologist in the Centre for Molecular Pathology, part of Clinical Genomics. You’ll perform molecular diagnostic testing, validate new tests including NGS and ddPCR, and support QA, data management and staff training.

Applicants should hold a BSc in Biological Sciences or Genetics, with postgraduate molecular techniques experience. RSci registration is desirable; pro rata salary reflects outer London HCAS and annualized

Qualifikationen

• BSc in Biological Sciences, Genetics or related discipline.
• Evidence of CPD or postgraduate training is desirable.
• MSc in Genetics or Molecular Biology or related subject is preferred.
• RSci registration or willingness to obtain is desirable.

• Carry out analytical molecular diagnostics investigations and support iso 15189 standards.
• Validate and verify new techniques and tests, including NGS and ddPCR.
• Provide training and assist with quality assurance and data management.
