Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Skipton is hiring a Laminator/Molder to join our manufacturing team. You will work on fiberglass reinforced plastics, applying materials by hand or machine and following established procedures.

The role involves preparing molds, handling resins, and ensuring quality at every stage. The position requires experience in laminating and molding, good communication, and the ability to work variable shifts in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Laminator or Molder.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team.
• Experience/knowledge with materials and resins used in manufacturing fiberglass reinforced plastics.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work at heights and within tight spaces when required.
• Ability to work variable hours including shift work.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to apply material by hand and/or machine to produce standard and nonstandard components and products of quality.
• Prepare mold or tool surface properly with release film, wax and other part release products.
• Utilize and understand resin, glass, catalyst, mold releases and related materials, and adjust for changing climatic conditions.
• Trim parts to the proper dimensions based on process sheets, standards, drawings and verbal instructions.
• Inspect laminate surfaces for defects, impurities, foreign material or other non-conformance, and correct as necessary.
• Ability to produce complex molding procedures.
• Move parts and components to shipping, holding area or other designated location after inspection by Quality Control.
• Other duties as required.
