Job description

Durata is a fast-paced, growing business at the heart of the data centre and critical infrastructure industry. Delivering modular data centres, critical power solutions and legacy optimisation projects across the globe, we combine in-house design, fabrication and turnkey delivery to support the world’s leading OEMs, contractors and data centre operators.

As demand for resilient, off-site manufactured infrastructure continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Modular Sales Manager to help expand our presence across the UK and internationally.

Role Purpose

The Modular Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities for Durata's modular infrastructure solutions, including power skids, power pods, modular electrical plant rooms, battery energy storage enclosures and modular data centre solutions.

Working closely with engineering, estimating and project delivery teams, you'll build strong customer relationships, understand technical requirements and develop commercially competitive proposals that deliver value for clients. This is a sales role requiring both commercial awareness and an understanding of modular engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across data centres, critical infrastructure, utilities, industrial, renewable energy, nuclear and commercial sectors.
  • Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of modular projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.
  • Build long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, EPCs, OEMs and end users.
  • Promote Durata's modular capabilities including power skids, switchroom modules, plant rooms, battery storage enclosures, SMRs and modular data centre infrastructure.
  • Work with customers to understand project requirements and develop value-engineered modular solutions.
  • Coordinate with design and estimating teams to prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals.
  • Lead customer meetings, presentations and site visits.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and support contract close-out.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Represent Durata at industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within critical infrastructure and modular construction.
  • Support the continued development of Durata’s modular product offering through customer feedback and market insight.
About You

We're looking for someone with the drive and determination to build a successful sales pipeline and make a real impact on a growing business. You'll be naturally motivated by winning new business, creating opportunities and developing long-term customer relationships.

You take ownership of your targets, your accounts and your success. Rather than waiting for opportunities to come to you, you're proactive in identifying prospects, opening doors and following leads through to completion. You're resilient, commercially minded and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly influence business growth.

You'll be confident engaging with everyone from engineers and consultants to senior decision-makers, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how Durata's modular solutions can help deliver projects faster, more efficiently and with less risk.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to be part of an ambitious business with significant growth plans, bringing energy, accountability and a genuine passion for delivering results.

Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in technical or engineering sales within modular construction, electrical infrastructure, mechanical engineering or critical power.
  • Experience selling to contractors, consultants, developers, OEMs or data centre clients.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and account management skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of modular construction or off-site manufacturing.
  • Experience within data centres, critical power, switchgear, UPS, electrical distribution or battery energy storage.
  • Existing industry contacts within critical infrastructure or data centre markets.
Qualifications

There's no set qualification path for this role. We're more interested in your ability to build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities and consistently deliver results. Whether your background is technical sales, engineering or business development, if you have the right attitude and experience, we'd like to hear from you.

Why Durata?

A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where initiative is recognised and rewarded.

Opportunities to work with leading contractors, OEMs, developers and end users across the UK and internationally.
